Kindy is a Deadly Choice.
In 2016, Redsuit partnered with the Institute for Urban Indigenous Health (IUIH) to introduce the Deadly Kindies pilot program, across three Community Controlled Health Services, with the aim of getting more Indigenous children having health checks and enrolled in kindergarten.
Modelled on the successful Deadly Choices behaviour change program, the campaign took a grassroots approach, promoting free Deadly Kindy Kits as incentives. With Johnathon Thurston and Beryl Friday adding ‘star power”, the campaign theme, Kindy is a Deadly Choice, quickly gained traction and response.
